CanaMAX - In Post-Production

CanaMAX is a micro-doc that glimpses into the origin story of the world’s most immersive film format and celebrates the fact that it’s proudly Canadian. We’re currently creating CanaMAX “Wait, what?”, capturing the curiosity, energy, and cinematic spirit of what we hope will grow into a larger project.

Shot guerrilla style with a social media sensibility, yet crafted with a cinematic touch, the film follows Christine as she dives headfirst into the IMAX origin story. Armed with an iPhone and contagious enthusiasm, she steps inside one of thirty 70mm IMAX projection booths, bringing the technical history to life in a playful, accessible way.

CanaMAX is a love letter to IMAX, to Canada, and to Canadian innovation.
