WAIT, WHAT??? IMAX IS A CANADIAN INVENTION?

Today marks the beginning of a project that has lived in my mind—and honestly, my heart—for quite some time.

CanaMAX is a micro-documentary that dives into the origin story of the world’s most immersive film format and celebrates something many people don’t even know: IMAX is proudly Canadian.
This film is part love letter, part discovery mission, and part “how did we not know this!?”

For now, we’re creating Episode One, titled “Wait, what?”
It captures the energy, curiosity, and cinematic spirit of what I hope will eventually grow into a larger series exploring IMAX’s roots, innovation, and cultural impact.

Today was day one.
And it already feels like the start of something special.
