INSIDE THE IMAX AUDITORIUM - DAY TWO, CANAMAX

Filming in movie theatres is always a bit awkward. The seats are bolted down, making it difficult to manoeuvre the camera. It’s incredibly dark, which makes achieving a clean exposure a challenge. Power outlets are scarce, so you end up running long extension cords just to keep everything alive.

But the moment I looked through the lens and saw the image come together, all of that faded away. Standing inside an IMAX theatre, telling an IMAX story, felt genuinely special. There was a quiet magic in realizing that the space itself was part of the narrative — not just a location, but the heart of the film.

Sometimes the obstacles are simply the price of admission. And sometimes, they’re what make the experience unforgettable.
